Minimally Invasive AF Ablation Surgery
Dr Joshi successfully introduced the thoracoscopic AF ablation program to Perth. This is the only program of its kind in Australasia region. He is one of the proctors and Perth is an international training site for other units to visit and learn this new surgical approach.

He introduced the first thoracic robotic surgery program to Western Australia meaning that patient can avail of this expert approach to lung surgery,with cutting edge techniques that are proven to improve patient outcomes.He was also the first cardiothoracic surgeon in Australia to adopt the the surgical approach to left atrial ablation and left atrial appendage occlusion improving the outcomes for patients with long standing,debilitating atrial fibrillation.
Our team includes an experienced group of anaesthetists who are specialised in the field of cardiothoracics.We also have an experienced clinical nurse who can provide additional expertise and support throughout your journey including pre op education,support and review throughout your hospital stay, and additional support and consultation in the period following discharge from hospital.

Dr Pragnesh Joshi is a specialist cardiothoracic surgeon. He specialises in all types of heart surgery with special interest in beating heart surgery and minimally invasive heart and lung surgeries. He is a fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australia.

There is not much of the waitlist in private hospital which is one of the advantage of holding private insurance.
